Amanda's Simple Salsa

Aug 25, 2020

This fresh salsa recipe is a great way to use your garden tomatoes!

  • 3 tomatoes, diced
  • 1/2 white onion, diced
  • A few springs of cilantro, finely chopped
  • Juice from half a lime
  • (Add 1/2 jalapeño finely chopped for a bit of zing)

Mix all ingredients together in a bowl. Season with salt, pepper and spices to taste.

Add to greens and garbanzo beans to make a fresh salad, or as a topping to your favourite protein: tofu, burgers, shrimp, fish or chicken.

Enjoy!

I joined the Community Garden this year and thought I would share some tips that I have learned from bringing my almost 2 year old with me...
